Description
Coming from a background in journalism, Chamonix based Antoine Grospiron-Jaccoux turned to photography to express his great passion for the outdoors and the desire to reflect the beauty of this world.
Talking about his series ‘My Summers with Diana, Antoine says “my desire, with this series, wasn’t to copy reality, even though what I photograph is real, but to make a new window of perception arise, a feeling closer to reverie or melancholia. A melancholy blooming from the fleeting moment, the veil of an eclipse, on the margin of joy and sadness.
To create this, I work with basic and minimum settings film cameras. This allows me to never shoot alone as my cameras always have their own view points. This time, I shared them with Diana during the hot seasons of 2018 and 2019.”
