About Raza Zahid
Raza Zahid Atelier is a Lahore based design house specializing in Architecture, Interiors and Product Design. Founded in 2009 by Raza Zahid, the office provides a platform for research and innovation, where design ideas are applied and tested across multiple scales in an attempt to blur the boundaries between architecture, interior and product design.
The design ideology of the office is to create unique, pragmatic and inspiring spaces and objects, by questioning the status quo, by challenging conventions and predefined standards, and by developing a thorough understanding of the various elements and stakeholders that influence the design process. RZA believes in treating every design challenge as an opportunity to experiment and discover, by adopting new technologies, reinterpreting the use of local crafts and materials and creating spaces and products that bring joy to its users.
RZA is also committed to the promotion and practice of ethical and sustainable design. All projects conceived and produced at RZA are based on certain ethical design practices and ideologies regarding social and ecological sustainability, which promote original design, fair wages, use of environmentally friendly materials etc.
Raza Zahid was awarded the AA Diploma from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London, UK and is a registered member of the Royal Institute of British Architects as well as the Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners.
