STUDIO VISIT

Q.

Why did you become an artist and why did you choose the medium of drawing?

A.

Whenever I used to write something, along with the writing I always did drawings and ended up with making images. Scrapbook was a good way for me to express my thoughts. I always preferred scrapbook because there I could draw my ‘first’ thought that is pure as well as write.

Q.

Why are you so inspired by Dadaism?

A.

I am inspired by Dadaism because its all about basic questioning of aesthetics like what is art, why am I an artist etc. These are all the questions that come to my mind when I draw or use found objects in my art.

Q.

What is your creative process?

A.

My creative process is going for sketching, talking with people and observing their day to day life, collecting objects from my father’s old shop. My everyday life with its questions, conflicts and search for the truth is my creative process.
